Club Class Insurance, which built a name insuring Eastbourne’s taxi drivers has been acquired by Club Class Holdings Ltd, expanding their offering with a range of new services.

Independent local insurance broker Club Class Insurance Services was established in 2003 as specialists in insurance for the taxi industry. In 2013, they relocated to Eastbourne, where they established a strong presence on the high street and a big impact in their local community.

In September 2020, Jackie Rose acquired the company, bringing with her 20 years’ experience in insurance brokering.

Kathryn McKenzie has now joined the company as part owner and Director. With over 25 years in the wider insurance market, Kathryn has helped Club Class diversify its range of services and build upon its reputation locally. As Kathryn explained:

“This is a hugely exciting time for me personally and for the business itself. Whilst we continue to maintain the taxi offering, we are now adding various other insurance products to our offering. The core values of the business remain the same – a strong, local, independent broker, offering first class personal service”.

Kathryn and Jackie head up the team at Club Class with fellow owner and Director Chris McGowan (also owner of Topsail Insurance and with two decades in the insurance industry). In addition, Andrew Briggs the previous owner of Reid Briggs Insurance Brokers joins the team as a Director and shareholder of the Holding Company.
