Business Services Assistant Manager
Having qualified under ACCA in July 2016, Laurel joined the practice in 2017 as an Assistant Manager, responsible for assisting the managers with their portfolio of clients in the Business Services team. Laurel is originally from Surrey, but now lives in Woodingdean. She is a member of a local Morris team and enjoys spending many summer evenings and weekends dancing..
Nick Short
Corporate Services Accountant
Nick joined the practice in November 2017 as an Accounts and Audit Senior. He qualified under ACCA in July 2016 and has several years of practical experience. Prior to that he obtained a 2:1 degree in Business Management with Finance at the University of Brighton. Nick lives in Worthing with his wife and son.
Mark Horsfield
Business Services Assistant Manager
Mark joined the team in July 2018 from an accountancy firm in Oxted. He qualified under ACCA in January 2018, previously gaining an Accounting degree from Kent University and now acts as Accounts Senior for the Business Services team. Mark lives with his wife in Crawley. He’s a massive football fan, supporting Tottenham and Crawley.
Nicky Kavanagh
Management Accounts & Credit Controller
Nicky is a qualified by experience Management Accountant and Bookkeeper providing bookkeeping services to various clients in and around Brighton. Nicky originates from Zimbabwe and spent 26 years in South Africa with her husband and two sons but has been in the UK for 15 years. Nicky enjoys cooking, playing tennis and all sports on TV.
Michelle Baldwin
Personal Tax Advisor
Michelle joined the firm in April 2018 as Tax Senior and looks after the personal, compliance and advisory tax affairs of the firm’s private clients. She is a qualified member of the ATT. Michelle and her husband are dedicated members of Seaford Bonfire Society, where Michelle has held the role of Captain of Pyrotechnics for several years.
Gemma Stephens
Corporate Services Accountant
Gemma joined the practice in 2014 after completing her Accounting and Finance degree at the University of Brighton, gaining a 2:1 honours degree. In April 2018 Gemma qualified under ACCA and is a member of the Corporate and Specialist Services team. Gemma now lives in Brighton and is a keen football fan, supporting Crystal Palace. In her spare time, Gemma enjoys cooking, socialising with friends and travelling as much as possible.
Elzbieta Bagan
Business Services Accountant
Ela joined the firm in January 2015 as a trainee Accountant and since then became qualified under ACCA. Ela also has a degree in Business Management. Ela lives in Portslade and in her spare time likes to travel and spend quality time with her family.
David Wallace
Corporate Services Accountant
David joined the firm in 1997! David works in the accounts department and has responsibility for the firm’s corporation tax compliance service. He is a member at a local church and enjoys singing, playing the guitar and piano and walking in the countryside.
Hayley Nash
Xero & VAT Advisor
Hayley joined the firm in September 2013 as a trainee accounts apprentice. Hayley is now AAT qualified and currently studying towards her ACCA qualification. Hayley lives in Portslade and enjoys watching & playing football and socialising with her family and friends.
Victoria Peacock
Business Services Accountant
Victoria joined the firm in September 2016 and is AAT qualified. Victoria is part of the Business Services team. Victoria currently lives in Hove although originally from Luton and is a big supporter of Luton Town Football Club. She also enjoys baking, playing tennis and watching movies.
Joanna Inderbitzin-Stone
Trainee Accountant
Joanna joined the firm in 2018 as a trainee accountant. Joanna has a degree in Accounting and Finance from Durham University and is currently studying towards ACA. Joanna loves to travel, meet new people and socialise with friends. On weekends you’ll find her either grooming and playing at the local polo club or trying new places for food and drinks.
Stanley Fowler
Trainee Accounts Apprentice
Stanley joined the firm in September 2017 as a trainee accounts apprentice after finishing college at BHASVIC. Stan is currently completing his ACA Certificate exams. Stan lives in Seaford and likes to spend his time going to the gym and playing football. He is also a season ticket holder at The Amex and is confident he will one day see Brighton and Hove Albion lift the Premier League!
Aaron Andrews
Trainee Accounts Apprentice
Aaron joined the firm in August 2018 as a trainee accountant. Aaron is currently working towards his ACA Certificate exams and is hoping to become a fully qualified chartered accountant in the future. Aaron likes to spend his time playing golf and cricket, watching football, going to the gym and socialising with friends.
Debbie Marriott
Xero & VAT Advisor
Debbie has re-joined the firm as our Xero C0-ordinator after previously working with the firm for over 17 years. Debbie has always lived in Hove and enjoys keeping fit at the gym as well as walking her dog
Sue Offord
Admin Assistant
Sue joined the firm in September 2016 as Marketing Assistant. Her first job upon leaving school was in accounts for a local family run decorating business. Since then, Sue has taken a varied career path including working in publishing, graphic design, vintage clothing, doctors’ practices and, more recently, admissions in an independent prep school. Sue lives in Eastbourne and enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her family.
James Hooper
Digital Marketing Apprentice
James joined the firm in September 2018 as a Digital Marketing apprentice after finishing college at Sussex Downs College. James lives in Peacehaven and likes to spend his time socialising with friends and going to the gym. He likes playing and watching sports such as Football and Table Tennis, James is a massive Manchester United fan and enjoys attending games.
Rosie Derricott-Stell
Trainee Accountant
Rosie joined the firm in March 2019 as a trainee AAT. For the last two years, Rosie has gained experience at a local firm. She hopes to be AAT qualified by November. Rosie lives in Hove and she enjoys training at the gym and finding new places to eat in Brighton.
Jason Wong

Jason joined the team in April 2019 as an Accounts and Audit senior. He qualified under ACCA in July 2018 and has several years of practical experience. Jason lives in Brighton and he enjoys training at the gym and living by the sea.
