Plus Accounting finish as Runners-Up once again, narrowly losing 3-2 in the final to DMH Stallard, who claim the Plus Charity Football Cup title for the third year in a row!
On Thursday 30 October, we hosted the 2025 Plus Charity Football Cup, bringing together nine teams for our annual 5-a-side tournament.
This year’s event proudly supported the Survivors Network and raised an impressive total of over £3,500 for the charity! The Survivors Network provides vital support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse across Sussex and is one of our chosen charities of the year.
Here’s how an enjoyable afternoon unfolded at Dorothy Stringer School!
Group A (Plus Accounting, Education Cubed & Brighton Table Tennis Club)

Brighton Table Tennis Club topped Group A undefeated while Plus Accounting pipped Education Cubed to second place by one extra point following three 0-0 draws and just one defeat.
Group B (BHT Sussex, DMH Stallard & Atkinsons Chartered Accountants)

Reigning champions DMH Stallard picked up where they left off by winning all four matches with Atkinsons progressing with them having beaten BHT Sussex in both encounters.
Group C (Quantuma, Quality Care Group & Pembroke Financial)

Remarkably all three teams in Group C finished with a 0 goal difference which highlighted how competitive this group was! Quantuma claimed first place with 7 points, while last year’s wooden spoon winners, Quality Care Group also making it through.

The three teams who finished bottom in Round 1 battled for this year’s Wooden Spoon and it was newcomers Pembroke Financial who claimed the prize following huge 5-1 and 6-1 wins.

DMH Stallard extended their winning streak with victories over two firms of Chartered Accountants – Plus Accounting and Atkinsons. This set up a showdown between the two accounting firms for a place in the Semi-Final, which Plus Accounting won 3-1.

Group A winners Brighton Table Tennis Club were defeated in back to back matches by Quality Care Group and Quantuma, meaning these two teams advanced to the final four.
Semi Finals

The Semi-Finals produced two closely contested matches, but the results set up a repeat of the 2023 and 2024 final with DMH Stallard edging out Quality Care Group 2-1, while Plus Accounting defeated Quantuma 1-0.

For the third year running, Plus Accounting faced DMH Stallard in the Final. Could this be the year Plus Accounting come out on top in our classy new kit?
Unfortunately not, as Plus Accounting finished Runners-Up once again, narrowly losing 3-2 in an exciting, end-to-end final to DMH Stallard, who secured the title for the third consecutive year.
