We had a fantastic time last Friday (7 July) participating in the Seed Volleyball tournament at Yellowaves in Brighton in an event dedicated to raising funds for the charity Off The Fence.
The Plus Accounting Volleyball team competed in a group that included tournament hosts Seed and won 2 and lost 1 of our three games thanks to great teamwork, Tommy’s excellent serving and James’ dominance with the net shots. Unfortunately Seed and 05 Creative ended up with an identical record after three games, resulting in us securing the 3rd position based on points difference.
As a result, we found ourselves playing for the Plate and after two wins in two, we walked away as Plate winners meanwhile McMillan Wealth Consultants beat Seed in the final to claim the title of tournament winners!

In total, the event managed to raise an incredible total of £3,875 for Off The Fence which is a charity that operates across three main areas: homelessness, women at risk and schools and youth. They provide short and long-term solutions, through two day centres, three outreach vans and 15 local schools. This work takes the support of just over 150 trained volunteers, staff and interns. The mission of Off The Fence is to eradicate social and spiritual poverty in Brighton & Hove.
