My Digital Marketing apprentice role

On Tuesday 11 September 2018, I started my Digital Marketing apprenticeship at Plus Accounting. Plus Accounting is a firm of chartered accountants, registered auditors and business advisers in Brighton.

When you finish your A-Levels at college you are hit with a very difficult and daunting decision on where you take your next step and in which direction you take it. Having studied Business Studies at both GCSE and A-Level and having also completed a Web Design course at college, I thought the role of Digital Marketing suited me and my interests very well. The directions are then most predominantly a University course or an Apprenticeship and after considering both worlds I decided to go down the apprenticeship route. The learning on the job in a working environment, developing skills and experience whilst getting paid were the main factors considered in the decision.

I was successful in an interview with Plus Accounting and had lined up a Digital Marketing apprenticeship within 10 miles from where I live. After a couple of weeks here at Plus Accounting, I feel as though I’ve already experienced and learnt so much.
