🏓 On Friday, our team enjoyed a visit to Brighton Table Tennis Club’s new Moulsecoomb venue.
The club, which opened in January, is already making a big impact in the community, and as a thank you for our donation, BTTC kindly hosted an event for our team. Their Crowdfunder is now close to reaching a remarkable £90,000 with each donation being matched four times. If you’d like to support, you can donate here.
Sixteen of our team members took part in a fun and competitive tournament, kicking off with four round-robin groups. The finishing positions determined the next stage, with all those finishing in 1st competing against each other, all 2nd place finishers grouped together, and so on for those in 3rd and 4th.
In the ‘Winners Group’, made up of the four group winners, James came out on top, followed by Jake in second, Chris in third, and Tommy in fourth. This meant Chris secured the Bronze medal, while James and Jake progressed to a rematch in the grand final. In a tense final, Jake would this time edge James over three games to be crowned our Table Tennis Champion and take home the trophy 🏆
