Plus Accounting Team: Conor, Mark, Tommy, Sam, Chris, Stan and James
On Friday 1 August, we took part in Seed’s annual Volleyball tournament at Yellowaves in Brighton, which raised an incredible £6,233 for Off The Fence.
The Plus Accounting team had a mixed performance in the Group Stage with two wins and two defeats from four games against Flude, Seed, Sutton Winson and Wenham Carter. Despite this, the six points picked up was enough for us to secure 2nd place thanks to our score difference.
This set up a Quarter Final clash with Buff Motion, who had finished 3rd in the opposite group. In a close and hard-fought contest, we narrowly lost 15-13, bringing our tournament to an end.
Buff Motion went on to reach the Final, where they faced tournament hosts Seed, who ultimately lifted the trophy following a 14-10 victory.
The event raised a total of £6,233 for Off The Fence, making it Seed’s biggest tournament to date! Off The Fence operates across three main areas: homelessness, women at risk and schools and youth, and the funds raised will help them to deliver much-needed care and support through their day centres, outreach vans, and local schools.
